I think going to college is very important, getting formal education shall serve as solid foundation when it comes on facing the industry. Though, school of hard knocks (experience) is the best thing that you can learn from and there is nothing that can ever beat it, but i don't think eliminating the idea of not going to college is the best option. besides, there's nothing wrong if you can acquire all the knowledge you can get. :)
